The fascinating Marie Galante (1 day)

Duration: 1 day

For lovers of sailing, the sea and unspoilt islands. Lunch on the catamaran after crossing the land with its beautiful Creole huts. Visit to a family-run distillery and rum tasting, visit to Habitation Murat and view of the”Gueule grand gouffre”.

Nature Larger than Life: the Cousteau Reserve

Duration: 1 half day

Grande Terre Adventure

Duration: 1 day
Leave the Resort in a 4×4 and head for Pointe des Châteaux to admire the amazing view: La Désirade, Petite Terre, Marie Galante and even Dominica. Then, head for Moule where you can tour the Damoiseau distillery, your guide will explain the secrets of how rum is made. Back to the Resort and the beach.

Nature Larger than Life: Petite-Terre nature reserve

Duration: 1 day
A motorboat will take you to Petite-Terre, a paradise island where you’ll meet the orginal inhabitants: iguanas!
With mask and snorkel, explore an incredible lagoon with fabulous multi-coloured fish. You’ll be totally amazed by the diversity of nature!

Nature Larger than Life: the Blue Lagoon

Duration: 1 day
A motorboat takes you through the mangrove along the salt river to the crystal clear water of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin! After half an hour in the boat, you’ll have free time at Pointe-à-Pitre to explore the markets. The boat will take you up the salt river that separates Grande-Terre from Basse-Terre, through the heavenly Caribbean countryside! Swimming, snorkelling and lazing on a sandbank and lunch on board all make for an exceptional day!

Discovery North Basse Terre

Duration: 1 day
Departure from the Resort towards Route de la Traversée and the National Park of Guadeloupe.Stop in the tropical forest for a five-minute walk to the Cascade aux Ecrevisses.
Continuing to Malendure Beach where you can explore the seabed at Jacques Cousteau’s Underwater Reserve from a glass bottom boat with panoramic undersea views. Here you will be able relax in comfort 1.50 m below the surface of the water in the fully glazed, air-conditioned hull. Flippers, masks and snorkels are available for some active sightseeing among the multicoloured fish. Refreshments will be served at the end of this part of the trip.

Creole lunch in the restaurant. You will be amazed by the botanical gardens in Deshaies. It’s a landscaped park and animal sanctuary of exceptional beauty. There, you will be able to explore the diversity of the plant life in the Antilles (waterfalls, mountain streams, plant walls, orchids, cacti, water lilies, epiphytes, rare plants, and more) Return to the Resort via Sainte Rose at the end of the day.

Awakening of the senses by jeep (1/2 day)

Guided tour of the East part of the island all the way to the “Pointe des Chateaux”, sugar cane plantations, a varied culture and incredible golden sandy beaches! Photo stop in front of the colonial house”Zevallos” and visit the Damoiseau rumerie.

 

Aromas and Creol Treasures(1/2 day)

Duration: 1 half day
After a guided walk through the heart of the old city center of Pointe-à-Pitre to discover the treasures of Creole architecture, you’ll have free time to wander in the fish, fruit, flower and spice market.

Discovery Les Saintes

Duration: 1 day
Departure from the Resort and transfer to the Trois Rivières landing stage. After a pleasant crossing in a launch, you will arrive at Terre de Haut which is populated by the descendants of fishermen from Brittany, Normandy and the Poitevin region of south-west France. Our shuttle service will take you to Fort Napoléon which was built between 1844 and 1867 by local labour.
The work was interrupted during France’s Second Republic. Napoleon III ordered the work to be restarted and completed, hence the name of the fort. These days, the many rooms of the fort are home to a museum on the history of Les Saintes and its cultural environment. The Promenade des Ramparts has a botanical garden dedicated to grasses.

The tour continues with a trip to the wonderful Pompierre beach where you will be able to swim. Lunch will be served in the restaurant by the sea where you will be able to enjoy specialities of Les Saintes. In the afternoon, you will have time to stroll around the little village.

Creole outing by Jeep(North of Basse Terre (1 day)

Duration: 1 day
Guided tour of the back-country by 4 by 4: banana, pineapple and sugar cane plantations.

Enjoy the various types of fruits. Creole lunch on the shore of a very beautiful beach. Short walk in the rain forest of North Basse-Terre.

Marie Galante Sailing

Duration: 1 day
Faithful to the tradition of sugar production and famous for its rum, Marie Galante is a very charming island and a place with a rich culture and traditions. Leaving from Club Med, after a crossing of around two hours aboard a superb sailing catamaran, you will come ashore on the south-east of the island. The coast of Marie Galante offers beaches that are almost deserted all year round and where the temperature of the water ranges from 26 to 29°, much to the delight of swimmers. Masks and snorkels are available so you can go swimming and explore the seabed.
Those who wish to, can take the bus for a short tour of “the island with a hundred mills”: the famous Murat plantation and one of the island’s three distilleries. A Creole lunch will be served on board or there will be a barbecue on the beach. An amazing day of utter relaxation. Return to the Resort at around 5.30 pm.

In Search of Emotion: Deep Sea Fishing

Duration: 1 day
Get ready for some powerful emotions! The Caribbean coast is ideal for deep sea fishing: the west coast has the right currents to bring up species such as marlin, sword fish, tuna, thazard and barracuda. Sport, a bit of luck and lots of adventure are the ingredients of this great expedition.

Wave runner outing

Activity proposed by our Discovery Center. You’ll ride to the mouth of the river at Pointe à Pitre, stopping at Islet Gosier for a swim.

NEW: Hike of 3 hours to discover the mangrove of the salted river.
