Excursion recommended by Club Med Discovery centre.

We’ll begin the day by exploring Altos de Chavon, also known as the artists’ city: Frank Sinatra, Sting and Carlos Santana are among the many musicians who’ve played in the Roman amphitheatre. The intricate architecture, with its fountains and cobbled alleyways, creates a harmonious mediaeval setting, an exceptionally beautiful example of Mediterranean style.
We then go down to the River Chavon where we’ll board a colonial style boat to admire magnificent landscapes that have featured in many famous American films.
A catamaran will then take us to Catalina Island, a Caribbean treasure island, where a delicious crayfish lunch will be served on the beach. For underwater adepts, the Catalina coral reef is ideal for snorkelling. We’ll head back to Punta Cana at the end of the day with a host of happy memories.

> Not recommended for children under 5 years old.

15 minutes from the Resort, in the heart of the magnificent Cap Cana property development, we invite you to come and drive a buggy over paths through the countryside leading to Juanillo Beach, the ideal place to stop for a swim on one of the most beautiful beaches in the area.
We’ll then drive on to Hoyo Azul, a fabulous cenote (cave and underground river) where you can dive into a crystal clear natural swimming pool.

Departing from the Club Med beach, we’ll sail through the turquoise waters of the lagoon along the coast of Tortuga Bay past the fabulous millionnaires’ villas. We’ll stop off in the shallow natural pool at Juanillo to enjoy drinks before getting back on board for grilled crayfish prepared by the chef. Time for a little dance session – bachata and merengue – before setting off back to Punta Cana after the most fabulous day!
